Congratulations to you and your teammates on qualifying for the 2025 WBOTB 15th Annual State Championship Event.
This year’s event will again be a combined event with the State Championship Hunt with the National Coyote Calling Championship Hunt being one event. The State Hunt will follow the 5X5 format and the National Hunt will be determined by the most coyotes. The State Hunt and National Hunt committees have determined each team must enter both hunts at a reduced fee from last year. The entry into the State Championship requires attendance at one of the qualifiers in the 2024-2025 season or an additional fee will be added per member.
The Event is scheduled to take place during some of the finest coyote hunting days of the year in Wyoming, November 6th-8th, 2025. The hunt is at a location providing a plethora of public land. We are again excited to hold this Championship Event at the beginning of the season as well as providing a 2-day format. We are looking forward to making this the best event to date.
The registration and check in location for this year’s event will be the Carbon County Fairgrounds, 12 Daley Street, Rawlins, Wyoming 82301.
Thursday night registration will begin at 5 p.m. with a meet and greet with other contestants offering a chance to gather event information and ask questions. At 6 p.m. we will go over the rules, hand out bite bands, pay entries into side pots and discuss the format and procedures of the event. Please bring cash for side pots. All team participants MUST be in attendance during Thursday night’s registration. There will be absolutely no exception to this rule.
There will be a Friday night check in at this year’s event on November 7th by 7 p.m. Coyotes not checked in Friday will not count towards your two day total. Check in time on Saturday, November 8th will be from ?-6p.m. You must be in line with your Coyotes by 6 p.m. on Saturday evening at the check in location or you will be disqualified. We will conclude the event with awards and a dinner, all of which are included in your membership. The awards event will start at 7:30 p.m.
In order to make this event the best that we can for all of you it is important for us to know if you will be able to attend this event in advance. We know it is complicated at times to make plans, but in order to provide you the best experience you will need to have your membership forms submitted online no later than October 25th, 2025 at midnight.
Your membership application is to be filled out in full Online at http://wyobestofthebest.com . Membership fees are $190 per hunter for entry into the State Championship and National Championship events (which includes $75 per member for each hunt, and $20 for Little Coyote and $20 for Big Coyote for both Friday and Saturday nights). A $50 Fee will be added to hunters that did not participate in a State Qualifier in 2024-2025 to be eligible to hunt the State Championship. A Premium Membership of $75 is added per member to pay out to teams placing in the top three for each hunt. Side Pots available on Thursday night at a fee of $10/side pot/member will be for Red Fox, Biggest Loser(5th Place) and timed entry for check in both Friday and Saturday night. These side pots are available to increase opportunities for all teams to come away a winner and have fun! Please bring cash for the side pots Thursday night. Again, online application must be received by midnight October 25th, 2025.
